Here are a few poems I have written:

If you would like to comment, I would be delighted to hear from you and might even reply (no promises).  Eventually I would like to have a forum going, but I am not sure how to do that yet.        Contact Me

    Dark volcanic rocks

Dark volcanic rocks
Rise imperiously from the sea
Guiding the shape of
Interleading bays.
Wading through thigh-high water
Between black rocks
Lashed with frothing waves
As I battle to round them
Without being swept off balance.
Arriving at the place beyond.
Dark walls overlooking an unpopulated bay
Forbidding gloomy caves
Cormorants crouched watchfully
In high places
I turn back,
            Shivering
                        Alone

I had a weird dream and this is the result:

Catpig

Don't panic, this is not a genetically modified Catpig, but a
creature  I created using Paint.net and a Wacom
Bamboo-One pen tablet - my first successful attempt

             CATPIG

A suspect puddle on the floor:
first unkind thought - our kitten.
Then I saw her newfound friend -
tortoiseshell  kitlet, fluffy,cute,
unblinking stare of a baby pig
and padded paws of a baby cat.

I gathered up the furry bundle.
Resting its snuffly snout on my arm,
it looked up, wide-eyed and adoring
and snorted at my disbelief                        ©

OLD AGE PENSIONER

I'm an OAP,
I cannot fare dodge
     'cos  my fares are free

With my Blue Badge
I can go anywhere
      'cos parking is free

                      My neighbours hate me

A COLD WINTER IS FORECAST - 2008

Politicians fall from grace
Autumn leaves from trees
Faces fall when things are aren't right
Prices fall in the Credit Squeeze

Marxists say "I told you so -
You've caused your own destruction
when corporations keep control
of all means of production"

Answers are in short supply
Though questions are prolific
If we must underwrite the banks
Our tax will be horrific

Yes politicians fall from grace
Like autumn leaves from trees
And faces fall when things aren't right
I think its known as sleaze                                                                                                 ©

                 TIME FOR THE DENTIST

                     I'll smile whilst I can
Once my tooth is taken out
                      Sun will stop shining

                       Another Haiku:

                WHILE THE CAT'S AWAY

      Spring kitten plays outside,
Winter cat snores

Indoors - mice dance gleefully

HOLES IN THE ROOF

Our friend the roofer and his son
came down from Penge
to stay one night and fix the roof
and set up camp in our cosy lounge

They stayed three nights
built a new back-door step
left rubberised paint on my spare blanket
          and my plant pots
                and my bath mat
(though they didn't use the bath)
You'd have to laugh
or you'd cry
Especially if you stand in the loft
splashed by rivers of rain
and can still see the sky

But the doorstep was good                                                                                        ©
