You'll
love these Alice in Wonderland figurines, Alice in her very
realistic blue dress and white apron bound in red braid, the Mock
Turtle with his mauve shell and yellow front, a very business-like
White Rabbit checking his watch and a hunched up Gryphon, knees bent
and enfolding wings.
In 1969, Ewart Beswick, wishing to
retire, sold the family business to Royal Doulton, with many of the
staff including designers and modellers staying on, hence both names
are shown on the backstamps for the "Alice" series.
If you hover with your pointer over the pictures, you will
see an
enlarged version to study the detail and backstamps.
