King
George V1' s and Queen Elizabeth's
Coronation Book 1937 by Isobel Ann Shead
|
John
F Shaw & Co.Ltd. London. This is a book written for "schoolboys
and
girls of England" with illustrated boards. This is a very
exciting find, as it is so rare that it is unavailable on the internet.
It is by the same writer who wrote Kooborr theKoala (which
I read as a
child) and Clancy

A
Guide to the Hunterian Museum
1968
|
At
The
Royal College of Surgeons,
Lincoln's Inn Fields London WC1. I used to work for
a
surgeon there in 1968 and used to slip into the museum
without
permission, to have a look at the amazing medical exhibits, with
bottled foetuses and the skeletons of The Irish Giant and Tom Thumb.
I went back this year, and it looks so different now, all
modern
showcases and descriptive noticeboards. |
