The Elite - The world's Crack Fighting Men: A  Mint Condition collectable military history magazine Published by Orbis  from 1985 to l987.  Detailing  training, role and historical actions of elite fighting units throughout the world this 134-part magazine is a comprehensive study  of the top fighting forces of that era, with table of contents and useful cross-referencing.  Each issue is 22 pages covering three different units and profiling a famous leader.  There is a brief history of each unit featured and a detailed account of a famous action taken by the unit, with contemporary photographs, maps and diagrams.  They provide a satisfying amount of information enabling you to understand the nature of the terrain and timing of the operation and are a valuable and fascinating resource.

Men at War -  Each partwork magazine concentrates on a particular army or elite    corps that played an important part in the two world wars with many colour plate drawings showing the uniforms and identifying factors in great detail, and black and white photographs.  There was a lead soldier to accompany each magazine but, alas, I do not have these. The detail is very impressive and you will find it very helpful for       research.   As I cannot find any similar collections on the internet, I assume this collection is rare.    Mint condition

Issues  1 - 61

 With the exception of  Issue 59 which is missing
men at war I will only part with these as a set and not individually as it would be a shame to break up the set. £75 + Postage
